Surprised by the Camera

Female Cardinal

I didn’t know I caught her on camera until I enlarged the photo and examined it square inch by square inch. After cropping most of the tree and brightening the colours, I think you can see her.

I almost caught her on another photo but she took off just as I pressed the button. I got the fence post she had been sitting on but no sign of bird. For this one, I could see her flitting around in the tree with my eyes but not through the viewfinder so I took a blind shot in the direction of the area. I feel rewarded with the results.

Moon

This photograph was taken with the camera I got from my friend. Never before could I take a photo of the moon that showed the craters. To my naked eye, the moon looked like a crescent; in this photo one can see the centre filled in though it is darker. The wonders of the telescope built into the camera. I love it!

Purple and Gold

This wasn’t such a big surprise except it’s pretty, even prettier than I had dared hope for, especially since the purple is so far up the fence and the gold is so far down.
