The fact that you’re asking this question makes me seriously question whether you are a toxic person. Then again, some people don’t get along or find each other toxic because they inadvertently push each other’s buttons.
The reason I doubt that you are truly a toxic person is that truly toxic people don’t generally take into consideration how others feel. I found a Psychology Today article listing 8 Common Traits of The Toxic People In Your Life. According to this article, among other things, a toxic person is manipulative, judgmental, and takes no responsibility for his/her own feelings.
To not be a toxic person, I suggest being the opposite of those traits, caring for people, and trying to understand and accommodate their views as best as you can and as is reasonable, given the circumstances. Please note that in life one is not required to be a door mat for someone else’s every whim and desire.
