Software for Creative Writing

I use a regular desktop computer and Word Document to do my writing. I realize there are all kinds of aids out there but in my opinion, at the end of the day, the creativity still boils down to what bubbles up from the writer’s imagination and knowledge base. If you can’t write a story with pen and paper—or simple Word Document and laptop computer—don’t expect miracles with fancy software. The software is created to make dollars for its inventors and retailers by cashing in on the wishful thinking of hopeful wannabe writers—not sell bestseller books. I may be old school and old fashioned but that’s my thinking.
