Answers in Matthew

He says that the conflict in the Middle East is aligning exactly as shown in the book of Revelation and that the rapture or something is about to come. How do I disprove this? I don’t have enough experience with the Christian Bible.

Here are two Bible verses you can point him to, things Jesus said.

Matthew 24:36 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matthew 25:13 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Apparently it matters not what man predicts about the end of the world, the time of the Rapture or Jesus’ Second Coming, the simple act of trying to figure it out more or less disregards Jesus’ prophecy that NO MAN knows.

Here is Jesus’ answer for when people try to persuade you to believe differently from what he (Jesus) is saying: Mat. 24: 23:

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Your friend may have all kinds of excuses not to accept these passages but they are here in the Bible and you have every right to claim them for your own and stand on them.

In the comments, the questioner, Adam Cook, replies: He is saying because you have a masters in theology he is wiser because he has real world wisdom. Looks like this was not the kind of person I was looking for in debating.

Sarah BowmanLol. I know the kind. They think they have a spiritual mind/wisdom or something that so-called worldly education destroys or at least does not help.
ADDENDUM: Adam Cook’s debater just proved my point that his kind won’t accept my answer!
